Dinkelsbühl
This quaint walled city still stands due to that fact that they never tried to fight and just let whoever came knocking through. Turns out this was a great tactic for lovers of architecture as this city was able to preserve its beautiful facades, walls, and churches.
We only stopped for a few hours, but it was a great pit-stop on the road between Munich and the Mosel Valley or other locations.
Hotel Deutsches Haus is a fantastic place for lunch. We sat outside and had delicious weiner schnitzel.
You can meander through the streets and the main church in just a few minutes. Well worth the mini-exploration.
